시의 본질을 형식, 기능, 존재면에서 정확히 이해하게 하고, 시어의 특징과 이미지imagery, 상징symbol의 시적 기능을 깊이 있게 연구하여 한국 현대시modern Korean poetry의 흐름과 그 특징을 안다. 나아가서는 이러한 지식을 바탕으로 교육현장에서 한국 현대시를 효과적으로 지도할 수 있는 방안을 모색한다.
교과목해설(영문)
Students would comprehend the essence of poet in the aspect of form, function and existence correctly, and research poetic function of imagery, symbol and characteristics of poetic language deeply, so know the flow and characteristics of modern Korean poetry. Furthermore, on the basis of this knowledge, it would be searched the method to instruct Korean modern poetry effectively.
